Signal Voice Privacy Policy
Signal Voice is a private BeOhio communications system. It handles account, calling, messaging, fax, voicemail, routing, audit, security, telemetry, and administration records needed to run the phone system.
Data Collected
- Account data: names, work email addresses, roles, authentication state, MFA enrollment status, and session records.
- Communications data: phone numbers, call metadata, SMS/MMS message content, voicemail metadata, fax metadata, call recordings when enabled, and routing history.
- Operational data: audit events, readiness checks, webhook processing records, backup/export records, device registration state, and softphone telemetry.
- Security data: password hashes, activation-token hashes, API-key hashes, encrypted authenticator secrets, rate-limit events, and access logs.
Use
The data is used for app functionality, authentication, fraud and abuse prevention, call and message routing, compliance, diagnostics, backup, support, and audit. It is not used for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.
Sharing
Carrier-bound call and message data is sent to the configured telephone carrier only when live carrier integration is enabled. The app does not embed carrier credentials in the browser or mobile shells. The current source does not include third-party advertising SDKs.
Security
Production use requires HTTPS, Postgres, Redis, signed sessions, CSRF protection, encrypted sensitive state, encrypted backups/exports, Telnyx webhook signature verification, and external secret keys.
Retention And Deletion
Company administrators control retention policies for communications, audit records, backups, archives, and exports. Account deletion requests can be started from the account deletion page. Some records may be retained when required for security, legal, compliance, billing, fraud prevention, or business continuity.
